COMMONLY MISUSED WORDS !!!

The following words are generally misused by native or non-native English speakers because the spellings are almost similar that is why they are unable to distinguish between the words.For your easy understanding I have given a sentence made by those words.

ANGEL : a spiritual or heavenly being. (The girl looks like an angel.)
ANGLE : a figure formed by two lines meeting at a common point. ( The carpenter keeps the woods at right angle.)

COSTUME : clothing/style of dress. (The Bangladeshi wear traditional costume at Pohela Baishakh( first day of bengali year)).
CUSTOM  :  a practice that is followed traditionally. (It is a custom of Bangladesh for the people to take rice with Hilsha fish as breakfast on the first day of Bengali year.)

DECENT    : respectable/suitable. (When one person appears before court, must wear decent clothing.)
DESCENT : downward motion. (The mountain climbers found their descent more hazardous.)

PRINCIPAL : head of the educational institutions. ( The principal has called a emergency meeting with faculty members.)
PRINCIPLE : fundamental rule. (Mr. Haque believes that Truthfulness is the best principle to shine in life.)

QUIET : silent. (The night was so quiet that anyone could hear the breeze blowing)
QUITE : completely, somewhat or rather. (Mr. Khan is quite capable to solve the issue.)
QUIT   : stop. (Mr. James quit smoking on his doctor's advice.)
